Côte d'Ivoire Ivory Coast Abidjan Marathon

The Abidjan Ivory Coast Marathon will be held on November 8th, 2025. This race follows the Nigeria Port Harcourt marathon on November 6th. The plan is to reach 3 to 4 countries in Africa for those traveling long distances to run in Africa. These races will give runners the opportunity to walk/run (no time limit) covering several countries in a short time, with time in-between for sightseeing and rest. It is also practical since airfares are reasonable and travel time between countries is short. It is ideal for runners traveling on a limited budget.

We do our research to come up with the best options for hotels near the safest course to run and to accommodate all budgets. This low-key event requires participants to run using GPS devices and submit their times upon completing the 42.195 km (26.2 miles). Course details and race start time are to be determined. The host hotel for the race will be near Abidjan Airport (ABJ), but this is subject to change once we arrive and physically measure and evaluate the area.

The entry fee is free, but registration is required. There is a $15 charge for a finisher medal, payable in cash or bank transfer. You can email the race director or join the WhatsApp group (+1 832 338 6095) to request a medal. This is a self-supported race; bring your own drinks and nutrition. Donations are accepted to hire volunteers for timing. Runners can fly to Dakar, Senegal (DSS) the day after the race for the next event.
