About the Event

Welcome to the Cowboy 200! This event offers two race options: a 200-mile run starting on September 13th and a 100-mile run starting on September 14th. The course follows the scenic Cowboy Trail in Nebraska, providing a unique and challenging experience for runners.

Cowboy 200 Highlights

Location/Course

Runners will travel from Norfolk to Valentine on the Cowboy Trail, enjoying the beauty and history of the Nebraska back-country. The trail is non-technical and flat, perfect for first-time 200-milers.

Aid Stations

There will be 10 manned aid stations along the route, offering a variety of runner's food and hot food items. Unmanned aid stations will provide water.

Swag and Awards

Runners will receive a Cowboy 200 fleece jacket, T-shirt, and drawstring bag. Finishers will earn a year-specific Cowboy 200 buckle and free beer at the finish line.

Rules

Pacers are allowed for both 200-mile and 100-mile runners, with specific guidelines for their participation. Required gear includes a charged cell phone, headlamp, and liquid carrying capacity.

Refunds/Deferrals

No refunds are offered, but entry can be deferred for race credit based on timing. Please refer to the runner's manual for detailed information.
