Saddle up for the Cowboy 5K, a Western-themed community race taking place on Saturday, March 7 at the Clovis Old Town Trail in Clovis, California. Designed for runners, walkers, families, and first-timers alike, the Cowboy 5K brings together fitness, fun, and a touch of Western spirit in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Whether you’re chasing a personal best, enjoying a relaxed walk, or simply looking for a great way to start your Saturday morning, this event is for you. Participants can choose between a timed 5K run or a 2-mile walk/run, making the event accessible to all fitness levels and ages. The course follows the Clovis Old Town Trail, offering a scenic, flat, and well-marked route through one of Clovis’s most recognizable areas. Volunteers and course support will be on hand to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience from start to finish. Western attire is encouraged (but never required). Bandanas, hats, and a little cowboy flair are welcome—just be sure to pair them with comfortable running shoes. All registered participants will receive a custom event t-shirt, a finisher medal, and post-race refreshments. Awards will be given to top finishers in the 5K, along with fun recognition for best Western-themed attire.
