CWES - Double Desolation Mind/Body Challenge

Event Overview

The Cascadian Wilderness Endurance Series events present an exciting opportunity for outdoor enthusiasts to participate in a multimedia adventure blogging contest. Self-supported and unsupported, these events are open to trail runners, backpackers, fastpackers, and hikers, each featuring a unique route that must be completed on foot and in one push.

Location: East Bank Trailhead, Hwy 20, Diablo, WA

Participants can choose to tackle the route solo or with friends, with no cutoffs, allowing ample time to complete the challenge. After finishing, participants are encouraged to share their experiences through social media and other artistic endeavors.

The Challenge

Participants will follow the Double Desolation Route, an out and back from East Bank Trailhead to the north end of Ross Lake, summiting Desolation Peak twice. This completely self-directed experience emphasizes both the physical and mental journey.

Additional Information

Finishers will receive a unique finisher's patch, with only 100 patches available. A portion of the registration fee will support trail maintenance organizations.
