Cypress Hills Cemetery 5K Run Through History

Join us for the 11th Annual Cypress Hills Cemetery 5K Run Through History in Honor of NYPD Officer, Peter Figoski on Sunday, June 22nd, 2025. All proceeds will benefit charity.

T-Shirts will be guaranteed to the first 250 registrants!

Our challenging course takes you past the final resting place of history's greatest figures:

  • Jackie Robinson (First man to break Major League Baseball's color barrier)
  • Mae West (Brooklyn born, Vaudeville performer and movie star of the 1920's and 1930's)
  • Peter Luger (Famous restaurateur/steak house owner)
  • Ignacy Paderewski (Polish pianist and composer)
  • Charlotte Ray (First African American female attorney in the U.S)
  • Eubie Blake (Jazz composer and musician)
  • “Gentleman” Jim Corbett (American Professional Boxer and World Heavyweight Champion)
  • Piet Mondrian (20th Century Dutch Painter)
  • Hiram Cronk (Last surviving member of the War of 1812)

Registration Race Start Time: 9:00 AM

Race Day Registration and Bib Pick Up: 7:15 am to 8:45 am

No Packet Pickup prior - only on Race Day

All ages have the same price:

  • $35 until 4/30
  • $40 until 6/21
  • $45 race day

Awards to the Top 3 finishers in each 5-year age group bracket in all races (1-14 to 70+) and the Top 3 Overall without duplicates.
