Course Runners will complete 2 laps around Spring Rock Park. Each runner will receive a bracelet after the completion of their first lap. This will help guide runners as the course splits into the finish line.

Race Timing

We use a disposable chip timing tag that runners receive at packet pick up on their race bibs. It is lightweight and remains attached to the race bib. Runners MUST wear their race bibs on the front of their clothing in order to be timed accurately. The bib cannot be covered, holding it in your hand or putting it in your pocket will NOT read the chip. Do not bend the chip. Smart watches such as Garmin and smart phones can interfere with the timing chip frequency. Please do not adjust your watch or phone as you cross the finish line and come through the chute. Disputes for times on smart watches and smart phones will not be taken into consideration. If you are not participating, remove your bib.

Tents

Each school will have a tent to hold personal items such as back packs, water bottles, etc. We will not be liable for lost or stolen goods.

Awards

Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female in each age group listed below:
Under 4 years of age, 5-6 years of age, 7-8 years of age, 9-10 years of age, 11-12 years of age, 13-14 years of age

Post Race Party

The post race party will coincide with Harvest Fest, which is sponsored by the Western Springs Business Association and the Western Springs Park District. Each runner will receive a free wristband that is good for activities and games. Wristbands will be provided in each rag bag at the time of packet pick-up.

Parking

Limited parking will be available due to Harvest Fest activities happening in and around Spring Rock Park. We recommend walking, biking or scooting to the race.
