Date: Saturday, October 25, 2025
Time: 8:00 a.m. - 5k begins at Coastal Studies Institute (CSI), Fun Run begins at 9:00 a.m. at the Virginia S. Tillett Community Center (VTCC).
Location: 5k begins at Coastal Studies Institute (850 NC-345, Wanchese, NC 27981) and finishes at Virginia S. Tillett Community Center (950 Marshall C. Collins Drive, Manteo, NC 27954). Fun Run begins and finishes at the Virginia S. Tillett Community Center.
Events:
- Dare to Scare 5k: $40 (before Sept 14), $45 (Sept 15-Oct 26), $50 (Oct 23-25)
- Sweet Treat Fun Run: $15
- VIRTUAL Dare to Scare 5k: $15 (without shirt), $40 (with shirt)
Registration: Opens July 31, 2025. Online registration ends October 23, 2025. In-person registration available until race day for $50.
Packet Pickup: Friday, October 24, 2025, 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Virginia Tillett Community Center.
Transportation: Pre-race transportation provided from the finish line to the start line. No return trips.
