Death by 5k Tyler

Join us for the Death by 5k event at the scenic Tyler State Park! This unique 24-hour challenge requires runners to complete ten 5ks starting every 2.5 hours.

• First 5k begins: 8:00 AM
• Subsequent 5ks start at: 10:30 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:30 PM, 6:00 PM, 8:30 PM, 11:00 PM, 1:30 AM, 4:00 AM, and 6:30 AM

This event is designed to challenge participants with physical fatigue, sleep deprivation, and night running. Participants must be present and finish each 5k prior to the next start time. Required gear includes headlamps or hand lights for running in the dark.

The course at Tyler State Park will feature dirt trails with rocks, roots, and possibly mud. Participants are encouraged to camp at the Blackjack area, which will serve as the race HQ. Hot food and snacks will be provided at multiple intervals throughout the event.

Registration is limited to 150 participants, and after that, a waitlist will be opened. Early registration is recommended to secure a spot!

Finishers will receive special awards and event swag. Note that we do not offer refunds, but allow deferrals or transfers up to two weeks before the event.
