Democracy Dash 10K at Jamestown Island

Location: Historic Jamestowne Visitor Center, Williamsburg, VA 23185 US
Description: The 10K start and finish will be at the far end of the parking area for the National Park Service’s Historic Jamestowne Visitor Center, on Jamestown Island. It will start with an out-and-back on the Colonial Parkway causeway, with the James River on the opposite side. The course is PR (personal-record) fast and totally flat, and outside of the causeway section at the start, is a wooded, shaded, scenic route with wetlands crossings on wooden bridges. The course is certified an exact 10K distance to USATF measurement standards (VA-21015-RT). The race time limit is one hour, 45 minutes.

Registration: Online registration is available through 11:59 PM on September 26th. After that time, only hardcopy registration forms and payments will be accepted. You can submit registration forms at the pre-race event from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, September 26th or you can submit them from 6:15-7:00 a.m. on race morning, September 27th.
Pre-Race Event: Friday, September 26th, 6 p.m.- 7:30 p.m.: Pick up your race packets & explore the grounds of Historic Jamestowne after hours!
Race Start Time: 7:30 AM
Post-Race Activities: Music, craft beer and refreshments, and awards ceremony at the Dale House Cafe on Jamestown Island, overlooking the James River. All 10K finishers will receive finisher medals.
