About the Event

Eagle Up Ultra

Unofficially the world's largest 24-hour ultramarathon! This event takes place at St. Helena Park in Historic Downtown Canal Fulton, OH. We are partnered up with Team RWB for this event!! The Eagle Up Ultra began 10 years ago and has become one of the largest 24-hour races worldwide. We are partnered up with Team RWB as our race charity and donate a portion of EVERY registration!! Over the years we have had runners, many veterans and a TON of Team RWB members come here from over 40 states and 3 countries!!

Aid Stations

We have one main aid station at the pavilion in the park. We at Race Brimstone always have tons of food selections for everyone, sweet and salty snacks, fruit, hot food later in the day. Please only runners and their pacers in the aid station area, once you complete your distance please don't linger in the aid station area as other runners are still running trying to get in and out of the aid station. Relay Runners please do not wait for your teammate to finish their loop in the aid station area. There will also be water along the course at approximately mile 1, mile 2.5 and mile 4.

NEW in 2025... 25K!!

Back again this year is a 25K! Great for your friends or family who want to come out and run some miles and enjoy the race atmosphere but not run too far. 25K registered runners cannot change/bump up distance like all other distances can.

Changing Distance

Any runner (except 25K) can run longer or shorter than their registered distance and will be a finisher for whatever distance they complete. Please let the timer know when you finish what distance you completed. (especially if you switched distances)

Beer

We are happy to have Lockport Brewery providing our beer once again this year. Each runner will receive 1 free beer with their entry. Crew, Family, Friends and Runners can purchase additional beer. We also have pint glasses with our Eagle Up Ultra logo on them for purchase.

Course

The course is a 5-mile loop starting in St Heleana park in Canal Fulton running south on the Ohio Erie Canal Towpath to Butterbridge Rd. then coming back on The Olde Muskingum Trail to the park where you will run right through the camping area to complete the loop. All surfaces are packed crushed limestone except through the camping area which is short cut grass. Road shoes are fine for this race.

Pacers

Pacers may join their runner at any time after they’ve completed their 2nd loop! Only one pacer at a time. Also, pacers ARE ALLOWED to utilize aid station food and drink while they are pacing. No pacer registration required.

Awards

Finishing medals and buckles will be presented to the runners immediately upon completing their desired distance. No age group awards, as we have decided to do something special for our Military Vets and those currently serving in place of age group awards.

Camping and RV's

The entire St. Helena Park is used for runners to camp! The camping is free and we won’t run out of spots!! We have limited space for RVs and do our best to get everyone in; however, once the spots are all full we cannot take more RVs.

Refunds/Deferrals

No refunds will be given. However, a runner may choose to defer with 100% credit to the following year for any reason up to 3 weeks prior to the race, you can do so on Ultrasignup.com, after that there will be no deferrals. Deferrals can only be carried over for one year.

Cupless

We are now a cupless race. What that means is that runners will have to carry their own reusable cup for water, electrolyte drink and soda. We will have cups for coffee and for warm soup/broth.

Relay Runners

Relay Teams' goal is to hit 100 miles in 24 hours or less to receive medals!! Relay teams may continue running to see how far they can go in the 24 hours. Relay members can run as many 5-mile loops they want at a time, and only one team member at a time is allowed to be running the course. There will be a designated Relay Team exchange spot at the start/finish line where teammates can swap timing bands. Relay teams can swap timing bands anywhere in the park area. (team campsite or tent etc)
