Join us for the inaugural Estella’s Memorial 5K Race to Cure Pancreatic Cancer. Come together with family and friends for a meaningful cause in loving memory of Estella Clasen hosted by Bohemia Track Club. This special event is a fundraiser for the Lustgarten Foundation, supporting groundbreaking research in the fight against pancreatic cancer. Enjoy a scenic, family-friendly 5K run/walk through the beautiful grounds of the Suffolk County Farm and Education Center, operated by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County. This unique venue offers a picturesque backdrop with its open fields, and educational farm setting. Come run, walk, or cheer—and help make a difference in the fight against pancreatic cancer. Every step supports a future with better treatments and hope for a cure.

About Estella - Estella Clasen taught physical education at the Central Islip School District for 33 years. Significantly, Estella did not just teach the importance of exercise and fitness, she exemplified it and was an excellent role model for her many hundreds of students. Besides being a devoted runner and race walker for over 40 years, she was also an accomplished ballroom dancer, competing in National Amateur DanceSport Championships. Estella was also a long-time member of the Bohemia Track Club where she once served as president and continued to act as membership director until her passing. Let’s win this “Race to Cure Pancreatic Cancer” to lessen or prevent the future suffering of so many victims of this terrible disease.

Packet Pick-Up Packet pick-up will be held on race day morning. Beginning at 7:45 am until 8:45 am. Race starts promptly at 9:00 am.
