Fantasy 5K

This spectacular nighttime event on Grand River in downtown Howell kicks off the Fantasy of Lights Parade festivities! The 5K starts at 6:00 PM with the 1 Mile starting at 6:05 PM on Grand River at the First Presbyterian Church.

Events

• 5K: $40 (Price increases after September 29, 2025 at 11:59pm EDT)
• 1 Mile: $40 (Price increases after September 29, 2025 at 11:59pm EDT)

Race Day (Friday, November 29):

• 5K start: 6:00 PM EST
• 1 Mile Run/Walk: 6:05 PM EST

Packet Pick-up and Race Location:

• Friday, November 29
• Packet pick-up: 12:00 PM - 5:30 PM
• Race Day registration: 12:00 PM - 5:30 PM (as spots allow)
• Starting at 11:00 AM, packet pick-up and on-site registration will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Howell, located at 323 W. Grand River in downtown Howell.

What's Included:

• Registered runners receive a commemorative Long Sleeve Cotton T-Shirt and race bib.
• Registered runners will receive their commemorative finisher medal and a slice of Hungry Howie's pizza at the finish line!

Course:

• 5K (3.1 miles) course is on Grand River Avenue in historic downtown Howell preceding the Fantasy of Lights parade.
• The 1 Mile Run/Walk follows the same route as the 5K, albeit shortened to accommodate the 1 Mile distance.

Costume Contest: Don your most festive, holiday costume and be entered into our new Fantasy 5K Costume Contest! Judging starts at 5:15 PM, winners announced at 5:45 PM.

Awards: Awards will be given for the top 3 Overall, top 3 Master's, and top 3 Grandmaster's runner for each gender in the 5K. All runners receive a commemorative finisher medal.
