Description: Fostering the Family is hosting our 6th Annual Fight for Families 5k Trail Run/Walk. This race will bring awareness to the local foster and adoption crisis. While this race is a true 5k, it will also have some elements that offer an interactive insight into the life of a child traveling through the child welfare system. Join us as we experience the reality of foster care and come together as a community to bring about change!
Events:

• Fostering the Family Fight for Families 5k: 9:00AM EDT - 11:00AM EDT, $25 (Price increases after September 20, 2025 at 11:59pm EDT), Open to ages 5-99
• Fight for Families Kids' Scavenger Hunt: 8:00AM EDT - 9:00AM EDT, $10, Registration ends October 18, 2025 at 8:45am EDT, Open to ages 3-10

Packet Pick Up: Friday, October 17, 2025, 4-7 pm at Papa Doc's. Also available 7:45-8:45 am on race day.
Interactive Stations: Available from 8-9 am on race day.
Awards Ceremony: 10:15 am
