Description: No Better Way to start 2026 than with a 5k! Run Cane Bay is Excited to bring you The First Day 5k 2026. The race is being held in Cane Bay Plantation and is for all ages, skills, and speeds. Race starts at 9:26 am. Please join us in the beautiful Cane Bay for a fun, fast, new 5k! Held on the community paved trail system, this flat course is perfect for beginners, experts, and even walkers, and strollers. Sorry, but no pets are allowed.

Course: Your Run/Walk will begin at Cane Bay Elementary School parking lot and use the paved multi-use trails to loop thru 2 tunnels for the 3.1 miles course. This paved course will take you under Cane Bay Blvd twice; while running along the new Nexton Parkway Extension runners will have to turn and cross the parkway where the Sheriff's Deputies will be stationed to ensure your safety.

Finishers: All Finishers will receive the 2026 Hooded Sweatshirt and FREE coffee or cocoa as they finish. Prizes will be given to males and females 1st thru 3rd overall and in the following age groups: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
