First Responders "Bring in the Backup" Triathlon

Event Overview

The First Responders "Bring in the Backup" Triathlon is set to take place at Swensrud Park Swimming Pool in Northwood, Iowa. The event highlights our military personnel, firefighters, nurses, EMS, dispatchers, corrections, and law enforcement, who will lead the race as First Responders, followed by all other participants.

Event Details

Participants can enjoy various race options including:

• Triathlon (Sprint Distance): 150 meter swim, 10.4 mile bike ride, and 5k run.
• Relay - Sprint Triathlon: Team of 2-3 members.
• Duathlon: 1.5 mile run, followed by the 10.4 mile bike ride and 5k run.
• Aquabike: 250 meter swim and 10.4 mile bike ride.

Registration Fees

Fees vary by event type, ranging from $55.00 to $125.00. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Worth County Sheriff's Office and First Responders Scholarship funds.

Additional Information

A t-shirt will be provided to athletes who register by July 13th, 2025. Don't forget to check for optional donations during registration to support the families of our honorees.
