Join the Inaugural Five Mile Eatery 5K Fun Run! Join us on Sunday, October 26, 2025 for the very first Five Mile Eatery 5K Fun Run through the heart of the Oil Center! This isn’t just a run - it’s a celebration of wellness, local food, and the community we love. Together, we’re raising funds for the folks prioritizing Acadiana’s locally grown food: the Acadiana Food Alliance.

Kick Off the Morning, Five Mile Style
Packet pick-up begins at 6:00am, then we’ll start the day with movement and good energy as Basin Arts leads a lively, themed warm-up. From there, hit the pavement alongside neighbors, friends, and fellow food lovers for a 5K packed with fresh air, good vibes, and free coffee & pastries at the finish line - our way of saying thanks for showing up.

Why We Run
This Fun Run is all about connection - neighbors to businesses, runners to local farmers, and our community to the land that sustains us. With 20% of proceeds benefiting the Acadiana Food Alliance, every step supports a stronger, more resilient local food system right here in South Louisiana. We’re expecting 150–200 participants, so gather your crew and sign up early!
