Step onto one of Kansas’ most iconic trails and experience a race that blends history, scenery, and community. The Flint Hills Trail 10-Miler invites runners to test their endurance on the longest public trail in Kansas—part of a network of more than 3,000 miles of trails across the state. Just an hour from the Kansas City metro, this race offers a peaceful escape from the city and a chance to discover the wide-open beauty of the Midwest. This is a smaller run designed for everyone. Whether you want to compete for the overall awards, need a push to complete a training run before it gets cold, or want to test yourself and run ten miles for the first time ever, please come and join us! We want to give you the support you need to help you achieve your goals and fitness. Timing is optional. We will have a timing clock but no timing chips.

Raceday Schedule:
Packet Pickup starting at 7:00AM
Race starts at 8:00AM
Awards Ceremony: Approximately 10:30 AM
Race will conclude at 12:00PM

There is a porta potty and aid station at the beginning of the race. At mile 5, there is another porta potty and aid station. Please bring your own fuel if you need more. Each participant will receive a trail-themed, hand carved medal!

About the Second Wind Foundation
The Second Wind Foundation is proud to host this event. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Second Wind works in some of the most vulnerable communities in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Their initiatives include teaching job skills through sewing and leather programs as well as humanitarian endeavors. Monthly, the foundation supports 50 families by providing shelf stable food items, providing over 9,000 pounds of food annually. They want to continue their mission of creating sustainable communities and entrepreneurism for families.
