About the Event
Event Overview
The Fonta Flora 50k and Half Marathon will be held at Lake James State Park in Nebo, NC. Enjoy the picturesque trails and mountainous views while participating in a beautiful running event!
Courses
- Half Marathon: 13.1 miles, elevation gain ~850 feet, time limit 3.5 hours.
- 50K: 31.5 miles, elevation gain ~2,400 feet, time limit 9.5 hours.
- Relay Options: 2 Person and 3 Person relays available for the 50k.
Packet Pick Up
Early packet pick up will be at Fonta Flora's Whippoorwill Farm on Friday from 4:00-7:00 PM. Race day packet pick up will be available from 7:00 - 7:50 AM on Saturday (50k) and from 8:00 - 9:50 AM on Sunday (half marathon).
Accommodation
Stay at Lake James State Park or find hotels in Morganton, 20 minutes from the start.
Costume Contest
A costume contest will be held, with winners receiving free entries into 2026 races. Show up in your costume and run!
