7th Annual Fort Mardi Gras Fun 5k Run/Walk & Fest

Welcome Back 2026! The CHECK IN PLUS START/FINISH is LOCATED at Ferry Park Entrance (56 Ferry Rd NE). Registration for children 10 & under is FREE with adult registration; children can be registered on Raceday when picking up packets and bibs. For same-day registrants and those who missed packet pickup, please arrive at the park by 8 am. The race will start at 9 am, followed by Mardi Gras Festivities until 3 pm, which are FREE and open to the public.

Every participant will receive a Custom Mardi Gras MEDAL (same-day registrants not guaranteed). This is a family-fun event featuring vendors, face painting, gumbo, music, Mardi Gras beads, and more. Leashed dogs and strollers are welcome.

The 5k is presented by the John Cain Foundation, a Non-Profit dedicated to supporting active minds and uplifting young adults, their families, and peers, with a focus on MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS. The event aims to address mental health/dis-ease by promoting exercise, fostering healthy minds, coordinating wellness, and encouraging mental stability as preventive measures.

Race Starts: 9 a.m.
Festivities: Until 3 p.m.
Location: Ferry Park, Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

The festival is FREE and open to the public.
