Freeze Your Buns Run 5K

Location: 460 S. Salisbury Avenue, Spencer, NC 28159

This is the 5th Annual FREEZE Your Buns Run 5k, held in conjunction with Winterfest in Spencer, NC. The 5K starts at 1:00 p.m., preceded by a 1/2-Mile Fun Dash at 12:30 p.m. for ages 12 and under.

Winterfest is a German Christmas Marketplace held on the first weekend in December. It features lights, music, artisan demonstrations, ice skating, a Kid's Corner, and a Town Tree lighting ceremony.

Registration Fees:

• 5K Run/Walk: $25 (through December 5), $30 (on December 6 - on-site registration available)
• Fun Dash: $15

New This Year: Jingle All The Way Costume Contest! Participants are encouraged to wear festive holiday gear for a chance to win prizes.

Awards (5K): Top 3 overall male/female, top masters male/female, and top 3 in age divisions (12 & under to 70 & over). Awards for the Fun Run go to the top 3 male and female ages 12 and under.

T-shirts: 5K run/walk participants receive a long-sleeve technical T-shirt.

Check-In: 11:30 a.m. - 12:55 p.m. (includes race packet pick up and on-site registration).

Inclement Weather Policy: The race may be delayed by one hour. The organizers reserve the right to cancel if weather conditions pose a safety hazard.
