About the Event
Golden Grizzlies 5k/10k Run
The Golden Grizzlies 5k/10k Run is an event for all ages and abilities! Join us as we run a scenic loop through Oakland University's campus and finish with a lap on the Elaine Leigh track facility! We will be holding a 5k run/walk and a 10k run with medals and t-shirts for all participants. Proceeds from the race will go to benefit the Oakland University Cross Country and Track and Field programs.
Courses and Prices:
- 5k Run/Walk: 3.1 miles, $35
- 10k Run: 6.2 miles, $40
- Kids Run (10 and under): 400m, $0
Starting Times:
- 9:10 am - Kids Run/Walk
- 9:30 am - 5k & 10k
Packet Pickup: Race morning, 7:30-9:00 am at the race site.
Awards: Finishers receive a t-shirt and medal. Overall and masters winners receive awards. Kids receive a ribbon.
Post-Race Festivities: Enjoy sponsor tents, music, and a coffee truck.
Special Alumni Bib: First 200 alumni receive a special gold bib.
