About the Event

Event Details

Race start is at 7:30 AM, with check-in opening at 6:30 AM. Expect the water temperature to be around 70°F. Heats will be organized by age group, and participants will be provided with colored caps. Ample parking and restroom facilities are available on site.

The course will be monitored by Greenwich Point lifeguards, and EMS personnel will be present if needed. Directions: Take I-95 to Exit 5, then turn right on Route 1 (East Putnam Ave.), followed by the first right onto Sound Beach Road, ending at Shore Road. The Metro North/Old Greenwich station is approximately 2 miles from the beach.

Awards and Age Groups

Swimmers in the Achilles division must bring their own “swim buddy.” Awards will be given to the top 3 overall and top 3 in each age group, which includes categories like 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, etc. Refreshments will follow the event.

Wetsuits are allowed; however, competitors wearing wetsuits will be ineligible for awards.
