Embark on a guided hiking adventure with North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team, featuring special guest Renata Chlumská, exclusively at KMF.
Join us at Kendal Mountain Festival! On Saturday, November 22nd, 2025, at 13:00 BST, join North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team and special guest Renata Chlumská, the world-renowned explorer, mountaineer, and adventurer. Renata will share her firsthand experiences of extreme environments, offering insight into adventure planning, safety, and the mindset needed for tackling challenging terrain.
Our knowledgeable Mountain Rescue Volunteers will lead a guided hike, sharing essential tips on trail navigation, outdoor safety, and mountain rescue techniques. Along the route, you’ll also have the chance to test the latest Helly Hansen equipment and explore innovative outdoor technologies designed to enhance your adventures.
All proceeds from this event will be donated to the North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team, supporting their vital work.
The Kendall Fell & Cunswick Scar loop is approximately 8km, it has a moderate degree of difficulty and does include some sections that have a steep incline and may be rocky/unpaved underfoot.
The hike will be approximately 2 hours long but is subject to change due to external factors such as weather.
Due to cold and snow forecast across the weekend for Kendal Mountain Festival please ensure you wear/ pack the following in your hiking bag for this activity: Waterproof Jacket, Waterproof Trousers, Walking boots, Insulation layer, Drink, Snack. Optional: Hat, Gloves, Walking poles.
