Hornitos Run

Race Information

The 48th Annual Indian Gulch Hornitos Run, hosted by the Merced Running Club, invites participants to run historic Hornitos foothills on a road race through California's beautiful range land. Choose from 2, 5, and 10-mile out & back courses starting at Hornitos Central Park.

Aid stations will be available at the turnarounds for the 5- and 10-mile distances. The 2-mile turnaround will be clearly marked.

Registration Fees:
Pre-registration: $40 (includes all fees)
Same-day registration: $50 (cash and checks only, 7:00 - 8:00 AM)

Packet Pickup: Race-day morning from 7:00-8:00 AM at Hornitos Park.

Swag: T-shirts for all pre-registrations, and first-come first-serve for same-day registrants.

Timing: Professional chipped timing by BizzRunningCompany.

Awards: Top finishers in each 10-year age group receive unique, race-themed awards. "Golden Horseshoe" Awards for the first male & female finishers in all age divisions.

Perks: Race registration includes a continental breakfast and well-stocked aid stations.

Beneficiary: Proceeds benefit the Mariposa High School Track Team.

Sustainability: This is a plastic-cup-less event. Please bring your own cups/bottles.

Participant Guidelines: Not recommended for babies and dogs due to open road with narrow shoulder. Walkers are welcome on the 2 and 5 mile courses; 10-mile participants should be ready to run.
