The 28th annual Jim Deane Rice Lake Run will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, during Maple Grove Days. This 3.7-mile race loops around Rice Lake. The entry fee includes a t-shirt, chip timing, awards, and refreshments.

Event Details

• Who: Men, Women, Boys, and Girls (Groups encouraged)
• What Time: Registration and packet pickup open at 6:30 a.m. Race starts promptly at 8:00 a.m. CDT
• Where: Freedom Field, 8585 Rice Lake Road, Maple Grove (Behind The Grove Church)
• Swag/Awards: T-shirts and refreshments for all runners. Medals awarded for age/gender categories. Award ceremony immediately following the race.
• Registration Fee: $10 (Early Bird, before December 31, 2024), $15 (Advance, January 1 - July 17, 2025), $20 (Race Day). Online registration closes July 17, 2025. Race is limited to 350 participants. Strollers and dogs are not permitted.

This event honors Jim Deane, a long-time member of the Maple Grove Council, former Mayor, and teacher/coach at Osseo High School.
