The Kanyon Kids Trail Race is a free event for kids 12 and under to come and meet friends, make new ones, and have some fun. Tyoga Running Club is offering this experience to give back to the community and to introduce young individuals into the rewarding sport of trail running. The course is a 5K loop with over 750ft of elevation gain which will make it interesting for all and challenging for some. The trail has two small stream crossings where you may or may not get your feet wet depending on the weather leading up to race day. So, get off the kouch and take part in the adventure!

Guardian Notes:

• This is a 12 and under race, but you are more than welcome to run or walk with the kids and enjoy the course. If you do not feel you are up to the challenge, we may be able to find a “pacer” for your child but be assured there will be volunteers and guides the whole way along the well-marked course.
• There will be lunch provided, with kid favorites like burgers hot dogs and fruit cups. Bottled water and other beverages will be provided. Servers will be wearing masks and gloves to keep everyone protected.
• We will be sharing photos online with various social media accounts. If you do not wish yours or your child’s picture to be shared, please make us aware and we will make every effort to respect your wishes.
• First and foremost we want all participants to have fun. Coaching your child is encouraged if it does not distract other participants or prevent anyone from enjoying the experience. Please be respectful and show good sportsmanship, encouraging all the participants to have fun.
