About the Event
Kawartha Lakes Winter Festival
The Inaugural Kawartha Lakes Winter Festival is a one-day outdoor event designed to get people outside for some healthy exercise and family fun activities in winter. The event will be held on Sunday, February 1st, 2026, at Eganridge Resort in Fenelon Falls, Ontario. The event includes a series of run/walk events in the morning on the resort golf course followed by family fun activities in the afternoon. These events are open to all ages and abilities.
Morning Events (Run/Walk): Two options: snowshoe running and trail shoe running. Distances include a 1k, 5k, and 10k. All participants receive a finisher medal, swag item, and hot lunch. Prize money and plaques will be awarded to overall winners.
Afternoon Activities: Free family fun activities include tobogganing, snowmobile rides, ice carving, bonfire marshmallow roasting, and live music. A donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Kawartha Lakes is appreciated.
