About the Event

King Of Pain 10(ish) Mile Run

The King of Pain is the toughest road race in the history of Glastonbury and lives up to its name. The course offers breathtaking South Glastonbury orchard scenery, along with hill, after hill, after hill. It is scheduled in the middle of winter, offering a unique challenge. The race benefits Achilles CT and Sunshine Kids.

Course Details:

  • The course will be open to traffic, so please use caution.
  • There is a risk of inclement weather during winter months.

Location: Hopewell Elementary School, 1068 Chestnut Hill Road, South Glastonbury, CT 06073

Parking: Spaces available at Hopewell School. Additional parking is available across New London Tpke. Absolutely NO PARKING at the fire station. Please carpool if possible.

Date & Time: Sunday, February 8, 2026. Race starts at 10:00 AM EST. Course closes at 12:30 PM EST.

Cost: $50 for individuals through 1/19/26, and $60 thereafter. Online Registration closes Saturday Feb 7 at 8:00 PM EST. No registration on race day.

What you get: Chip timing, long-sleeve tech shirt (for the first 150 registrations), post-race food, and bragging rights.

Awards: Top male & female finishers crowned King & Queen of Pain. Age group recognition for first place male and female in 10-year age groups.

Packet Pickup: Marathon Sports Glastonbury on Friday 4-6 pm and Saturday 10 am-noon. Race day starting at 9:00 AM.

Important Notes: NO REFUNDS. Transfers on a case-by-case basis before online registration closes.
