KRAS CARSO CLASSIC - Vintage Cycling Event

Join the KRAS CARSO CLASSIC, a vintage cycling event celebrating the Carso region and its scenic cycling paths. This event takes place over a weekend, immersing participants in the warm colors of autumn foliage.

Activities begin on Saturday afternoon, November 8th, with an exhibition of historic bicycles curated by the historic cycling club "SC Bartali" at the Zinzendorf refreshment area.

The main cycling tour will be on Sunday morning, starting from Opicina at the "Zinzendorf" refreshment area. The circular route, approximately 45 km long, follows the path of stone and bora wind, traversing both Italian and Slovenian territory. Along the route, there will be two refreshment stops featuring local, zero-km products.

Professional guides will accompany the ride, with technical support available throughout the route. The day concludes with a roasted chestnut gathering and a final toast for all participants at the "Zinzendorf" restaurant.

• Type: Circular route between Italy and Slovenia

Registration and Participation:

• Participation Fee: €10 (includes race pack, 2 refreshment stops, roasted chestnuts, final toast, assistance)
• Pre-registration: Mandatory online pre-registration required at this link.
• Payment: Payment upon collection of the race pack.
• Requirements: Participants must present a valid identity document (ID card or passport).
• Bicycle Requirement: Participation is exclusively reserved for those using a vintage bicycle.

Physical Preparation and Responsibility:

Adequate physical preparation is recommended for approximately 3-4 hours of cycling. Each participant is responsible for their own physical fitness. The cycling guide reserves the right to assess individual participation to ensure the safety of the group.
