About the Event
Event Overview
The Lake Macbride Trail Races will take place on Saturday, July 19th, 2025 at Lake Macbride Spillway in Solon, IA. Choose to compete in either a 50K or 25K race.
Course Description
This moderately challenging event consists of a one or two loop course around stunning trails. Runners will encounter crushed limestone trails, technical sections, and a variety of terrains including single track and prairie. The course is designed to minimize road running, emphasizing scenic trail running.
Race Day Schedule
- Packet Pickup: 6:00 - 7:30AM
- 50K Start Time: 7:00AM
- 25K Start Time: 7:45AM
- Race Cutoff Time: 4:00PM (9 hours)
- Post Race Party: 7:00AM-4:00PM
Awards
Top 1 finishers in each distance receive awards, plus the top three in age groups will be recognized.
Registration
Registration opens on February 14th, 2025, and is capped at 175 runners. The 50K entry fee is $75, and the 25K entry fee is $50. Registration includes a T-Shirt, cup, commemorative bib, and more.
