Event Overview

Join us for the Lake Murray Sprint Triathlon, a favorite for triathletes in South Carolina. Held annually in Prosperity, SC, this event showcases the talent of athletes from the Upstate, Midlands, and the Coastal regions. The 2025 event will be held on Sunday, April 13th.

Courses

• Swim: 750 Meters (Lake)
• Bike: 16 Miles
• Run: 5 Kilometers

Course Descriptions

The swim consists of a clockwise loop of 750 meters, with legal wetsuits and expected water temperatures in the low 70s. Swimmers may encounter moderate chop and a light current.

The bike course is a long, 16-mile loop along rural roads, with good road surfaces and clear markings. There are only 5 turns on the course, assisted by police and volunteers at intersections.

The 5K run is unique, featuring out and back spurs that allow runners to gauge their competition while enjoying a flat, shaded, and fast course.
