Lettuce Run on Thanksgiving 5K for the Friendly Fridge BX

Join the Van Cortlandt Track Club for the second annual Lettuce Run on Thanksgiving 5k to raise money for the Friendly Fridge Foundation, supporting the Friendly Fridge BX. The goal is to rescue and redirect food into the community. The event is an untimed fun run with raffle prizes.

Why the Friendly Fridge BX? Food waste is an environmental disaster, and many in the Bronx face hunger. The Friendly Fridge BX rescues over 67,000 lbs of food monthly, helping those with food insecurity, working mothers, families, and seniors. Inflation has increased the need, and the Fridge BX aims to double the amount of healthy food rescued.

This is a family-friendly event with options for all abilities. A 2k walk and kids races are available. All money raised goes to support the Friendly Fridge BX's goal of opening a storefront.
