Lions on the Leon Captain "D" Dash for Sight 5K Fun Run/Walk

Time: 8:30 AM - 11:00 AM CDT

Description: This 5K Fun Run/Walk is a non-timed event starting at the Heritage Park parking lot by the soccer fields. The course proceeds down Park Avenue, circles through the neighborhood, and returns to the parking lot. Awards will be given for Adult Male & Female (1st, 2nd, 3rd), 11 & under Male & Female (1st, 2nd, 3rd), and Costume (1st, 2nd, 3rd). Every participant receives a commemorative spinner race medal and a swag bag. Registration includes entry into a bib raffle. Event T-shirt is guaranteed with registration by September 5th.

Post-Race Picnic: The Fun Run/Walk concludes with a picnic in the park featuring music, food concessions, vendors, pumpkin decorating, face painting, games, a raffle/auction, and a cardboard boat race on the Leon River. People's Choice boat judging begins at 11:00 AM, and race heats start at 1:00 PM.

Registration:

• Pre-registration: $30.00 for adults, children 6 and under are free (must be accompanied by a registered adult), $20.00 discount for students (16 and under) - paper registration only.
• On-site registration: $35.00 for adults, $25.00 for students (16 and under)
• Online registration ends: Wednesday, October 1st
• Run/Walk day registration: 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM in the parking lot by the soccer fields
