Live Like Jack 5k for Clubfoot

Lace up those running shoes and dust off your boogie shoes for the first annual Live Like Jack 5K and 1Mile Kids run followed by a post race dance party and arm wrestling competition. What more could you ask for on a balmy August evening?!

Why are we doing this? Just like you our son, Jack, loves to run, jump, dance and play. He was born with a birth defect called bilateral clubfoot which, if left untreated, can impair a child's ability to walk, run, jump and play. Jack also has arthrogryposis and limb differences, which effect his upper extremities and joints. Treatment can be costly so we felt a calling to start a charity that assists families with the cost of care associated with these conditions. Many families have to travel to treatment areas and there are costs associated with travel, lodging, treatment, management (special shoes and braces, physical and occupational therapies.... to name a few). Our proceeds will help ease the financial burden for these families. All funds raised through the Live Like Jack 5k will benefit awareness, research, treatment and management of clubfoot and other musculoskeletal conditions and limb differences. We aim to support EVERYONE--including those with disabilities, impairments and differences-- in their journey to run, jump, play and ultimately LIVE like Jack. We were told when Jack was a baby that he would "never be normal" and we say.... maybe "normal" isn't all it's cracked up to be. IN A WORLD OF NORMAL, EMBRACE YOUR DIFFERENCES!

Friday, August 1
3:00-6:00pm: Packet pickup and Late Registration Location: Curio Brewing (Come hang out and chat with us!) If picking up someone else's race packet you must show a copy of their registration.

Saturday, August 2
5:15-5:45pm: Packet pickup @ race site (239 Franklin Rd)
6:00pm: Kids Dash begins
6:30pm: 5k race begins
7:00pm: Finish line party with DJ Joe & Friends
7:30pm: Awards

Race T-Shirts: All participants who register for the Live Like Jack race with receive a unisex t-shirt. Please register by July 13, 2025 to guarantee availability of the correct t-shirt size!

Awards: Awards for top 3 overall male and female. Fleet Feet gift cards and custom made trophy for overall winners! Age group awards 1st male/female in these age groups: <19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Parking: Parking will be available in the gravel lot, follow the signs.
