Lookout Mountain Trail Race

The Lookout Mountain trail races begin high atop the mountain at the spectacular Covenant College campus. The course offers a variety of challenging climbs, highly runnable sections, and moderate descents on predominantly single track trails.

The 50 and 18 mile races travel together for the first 18 miles, navigating two exposed bluff lines with fantastic views. On a clear day, it is possible to see 5 states from one section of trail. The course will cross no less than 5 different creeks leading runners to the Lula Lake Land Trust, winding through beautiful forests and passing by the towering 120' Lula Falls.

The 10K has become known as one of the most challenging 10K courses in the region. The first couple of miles are flat and fast, but the course then transitions to narrow trails along two creeks with a few steep climbs. This is a perfect race for both hikers and runners, providing a challenge regardless of pace.

Race Details

Registration closes on Dec 14 at midnight EST or once the maximum field is reached. Membership to Wild Trails at any level will gain a 10% discount to any race.
