Lucky Dog 5K is all about Running (or Walking) and supporting amazing animal shelters! Join us on Saturday, March 14th, 2026 at 8:30am CST for an exciting "Lucky Dog Themed" event that features the scenic views of Busse Woods in Schaumburg, IL ! This race is a sure thing for a great doggy good time! This race is timed and scored by J3 Timing. Results will be posted at www.J3timing.com .

Can I Run with My Pet(s)?

Absolutely! We are running to support pets, pet lovers, and animal charities! So you can run or walk with or without your pet(s)! Please note that your registration includes (1) Dog Medal. If you are bringing more that one dog with you to run/walk and would like an additional Medal, please purchase one while registering.

Is registration required for Dogs?

No. Dogs are welcome to participate in the 5k and are not required to sign up.

Packet Pickup

Packet Pickup will be held on Friday, March 13th from 4-6:00 PM at Extramile Running 31 West Schaumburg Road Schaumburg, Illinois 60194 Packet pickup on race day will start 1 hour before race time.

Course Map

This is a simple out and back course on the Busse Woods Trail. The route is super scenic and is paved and generally flat. Friendly reminder... please make sure to bring doggie bags and pick up after your dog if they locate their own portable toilet along the course :-) The course will be open to bikers and pedestrians so please try to stay to the right side of the route while running. Awards

Awards will be given in the following categories: Overall Male/Female Top 3 in Age Groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79 and 80 and over

Parking

• Busse Woods Grove 28 : limited spots available • Enter park at Golf Rd & Ring Rd, Rolling Meadows, IL • PLEASE CAR POOL if parking on site
• Atrium Event Center : 3800 Golf Rd, Rolling Meadows, IL • Parking across the street is recommended • Please use the spaces closest to the start/finish line (see map below)
