Kick Off Your 2026 East‑Side St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations in Belleville with the Lucky Leprechaun 5K! Start your St. Patrick’s Day festivities early by joining us for the Lucky Leprechaun 5K in beautiful Belleville! The run begins and ends at Union United Methodist Church, taking participants on a fun, scenic route through the streets of Belleville. After finishing, runners are encouraged to head over to the parade route to celebrate with family and friends before continuing the fun at the St. Patrick’s Day Block Party!

Registration Information

• 5K Run: $30 – Advanced registration, $35 – Day‑of registration. Includes an active-blend T‑shirt featuring a brand‑new design. T‑shirts guaranteed for participants registered by February 23. Registrations received after February 23 are not guaranteed a shirt; extra shirts will be available on a first‑come, first‑served basis. Registration is non‑refundable (T‑shirts are provided with 5K registration only).
• Kids’ 50‑Yard Rainbow Dash: $10. Perfect for children 12 and under who aren’t quite ready for the full 5K. Every child who participates will receive a medal!

Race Day Schedule

• 5K Start Time: 9:00 AM (sharp!)
• Kids’ Rainbow Dash: Approximately 10:00 AM, immediately following the completion of the 5K

Location

Start/Finish Line: Union United Methodist Church, 721 East Main Street, Belleville, IL 62220. Limited parking is available at the church. Additional parking can be found throughout Belleville.

Packet Pick‑Up

• Race‑Day Pick‑Up: 8:00–8:45 AM at Union United Methodist Church, 721 E Main Street.

Weather & Cancellation Policy

The event will only be cancelled in the case of severe weather, such as thunderstorms. Registration is non‑refundable. Cancellation notices will be posted on the Belleville Main Street Facebook page.

Awards

• Overall Winners: Trophy to the 1st place male and female finisher.
• Age‑Group Medals: Top 3 male and female finishers in each division (13 & under, 14–18, 19–24, 25–29, 30–34, 35–39, 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, 60–64, 65+).
• All Kids’ Rainbow Dash participants will receive a medal.

Professional race timing provided by Toolen’s Running Start.
