MAD Backyard Ultra

Event Details

The 5th Annual Mad Backyard Ultra takes place on Saturday, Jan 17, 2026, at 8:00 AM. This event is a qualifying race for The Big Dog's Backyard Ultra and offers a challenge like no other.

Race Format

Compete by completing a 4.1667-mile loop every hour. Each loop must be finished within an hour to advance. Failure to complete the loop results in elimination from the race. This is a demanding endurance test.

Course

The course is a flat, runnable, 4.167-mile loop at Camp Jordan Park featuring track, gravel, and grass surfaces.

Awards and Amenities

The last runner standing will receive a unique award. All participants will receive a participation coin, and those who complete 100 miles will earn a MAD Backyard Ultra belt buckle. There are numerous hotels in close proximity to the race start.

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup will occur on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM, and on race day from 6:30 AM to 7:15 AM at 323 Camp Jordan Parkway, East Ridge, TN.

Registration

Registration is $118.52 including taxes and fees. The registration deadline is Friday, January 16, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET.
