The 2026 Madison Shamrock Shuffle returns on Saturday, March 14, 2026, just a few days before St. Patrick’s Day! This Madison tradition is the city’s first major race of the year, bringing thousands of participants together downtown for a day of running, walking, biking, and celebrating. Lace up for a Timed 10K, Timed 5K, Untimed 5K Walk, or our new Untimed 10K Bike Ride, and don’t forget to show off your best green outfit as you kick off the holiday weekend in style.

This year’s event introduces exciting new features: a post-race Afterparty (open to anyone who donates or fundraises $100+), a fundraising option built right into registration to make supporting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County even easier, and a referral program where your registration fees will be refunded when you convince 5 friends to register! Students also receive a special 25% discount, making it even easier to join the fun.

Every step, shuffle, and pedal supports the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County, funding critical programs for youth from 6 weeks to 24 years old. Since its start, the Shamrock Shuffle has raised more than $500,000 to provide Pre-School, After-School, In-School, and Workforce Center opportunities for local kids and young adults.

The Madison Shamrock Shuffle supports the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County, which provide programs for youth ages 6 weeks to 24 years old. Funds raised help continue and expand Pre-School, After-School, In-School, and McKenzie Regional Workforce Center programming. Since its start, the Shamrock Shuffle has contributed more than $500,000 to these programs.
