Miles 4 Moore Moore County Trail Marathon, Half, and 5K

The Moore County Trail Marathon, Half, and 5K is part of the Sandhills Running "Miles 4 Moore" race series. This charity run series donates proceeds to support community wellness and resiliency, funding gym memberships, coaching, and nutrition consultations for low-income families and high school athletes.

Marathon and Half Marathon Route: Participants enjoy a scenic route from Sandhills Community College (SCC) around Reservoir Park, Whitehall Trail, to Nick’s Creek, and back to SCC. Marathon runners complete this loop twice. Four well-stocked aid stations offer water, Gatorade, and snacks (eight stops for marathon runners).

5K Route: Participants run from SCC around Reservoir Park, using the SCC perimeter road and Reservoir Park Trail.

Registration: Opens December 1, 2025, for marathon and half marathon; January 25, 2026, for 5K. Open through race day.

Start Line: Near Sandhills Community College Sports Complex, 395 Wilbur Blvd, Pinehurst NC, 28374.

Event Parking: Sandhills Community College Sports Complex, 395 Wilbur Blvd, Pinehurst NC, 28374.

Bathrooms: Available at the start/finish line, Nick’s Creek parking lot, and Reservoir Park main parking lot.

Awards: Prizes for top male and female in each event category.

Spectators: The Gardens and Reservoir Park offer scenic trails, playgrounds, and fishing. Nearby towns provide shopping and dining.

Packet Pickup: March 6, 2026, 6:00-8:00 pm at Sandhills Horticulture Gardens, 3245 Airport Rd. Pinehurst NC, 28374; or March 7, 2026, 6:30-7:00 am.

Weather: Typically cooler mornings (mid-40s) and mild afternoons (mid-50s to low-60s) in March.

Amenities: All participants receive a race t-shirt and finisher's medal (t-shirts not guaranteed for registrations after February 25, 2026).
