Miles that Matter 5k

Join the Augsburg Physician Associate (PA) Program on April 25th for their annual 5K Run/Walk. The race starts and finishes at Thomas Beach, with a loop around Bde Maka Ska lake. Funds raised will support the International Institute of Minnesota, which assists immigrants and refugees, and the Augsburg PA program's student society.

All participants receive a race T-shirt. The first 70 registrants get a reusable aluminum water bottle. Water and snacks are provided at the finish line. A first-aid station and restrooms are available at the start/finish line.

FAQ:

• Cost: General participants: $35, Student participants: $25, Participants less than 12 years old: Free.
• Parking: Street parking available along W Bde Maka Ska Pkwy or adjacent streets. Limited metered parking in the Thomas Beach lot.
• Medical & Restrooms: First-aid station and port-a-potties at the start/finish line.
• Course: One loop around Bde Maka Ska on sidewalks with minimal elevation gain (36 feet).
• Kids & Strollers: Allowed. Kids under 12 run/walk for free.
• Pets: Not allowed.
• Weather: Event continues unless there is lightning or severe weather.
• Timing: No official time recording; a large race clock will be available.
