Moorehead Park Trail Mazathon
This 26.2-mile marathon trail run takes place on single-track dirt trails and mowed meadow trails in Moorehead Park. Expect challenging hills and beautiful scenery. The course includes old stagecoach trails, a homestead, cemetery, farm equipment, a train depot, and a one-room schoolhouse. The race consists of three 8.8-mile loops, with options for a 1/3 (8.8 miles), 2/3 (17.6 miles), or full mazathon (26.2 miles). Finisher medals are awarded to all distances. There will be two fully stocked aid stations and three unmanned water stations along the course. Packet pickup is available on Friday, August 1, from 4-8pm or race day from 5-7:30am at the Conservation Center. A pasta meal will be offered at packet pickup (Friday 5:30-7:30pm). Proceeds benefit the Ida County Conservation Foundation.
