Mountainaire Marathon

About this event

We're beyond excited to be back in Mountainaire this fall for our 2nd Annual Mountainaire Marathon! Come enjoy cool temps, flowy single track, peaceful forest roads, and - most importantly - community & fun! This event is FREE, but donations are strongly encouraged to help us pay for aid station food. Any donations made that exceed our race costs will be donated to the Northland Family Help Center, in honor of fellow runner Kelly Paduchowski. Donations can be made here: https://gofund.me/5a33a274

Like last year, we will be offering a full marathon and half marathon distance. Please sign up for either distance using this EventBrite link. You are welcome to change distances the day of the race. You MUST SIGN UP on Eventbrite.

Here's what you CAN expect:

• Fun!
• 2-4 aid stations with the standard fixings
• Limited course markings
• Prizes for the top 3 female & male finishers in each distance
• Post-race finish line party!

Here's what you CANNOT expect:

• Official timing (but we'll do our best to have semi-official finish times)
• The courses to actually be 13.1 or 26.2 miles. They will be around that.

Additional "Rules":

• LEAVE NO TRACE. Littering of any kind, including human waste & TP, is NOT ACCEPTABLE. Have a poop plan & pack everything out!
• Dogs are allowed at aid stations & the finish area, but please make sure they are friendly and under control.
• Not so much a rule as a strong recommendation: Please have the course GPX downloaded and available offline. We'll do our best to course mark, but cannot control cows and humans taking the markings down.
