Navajo Code Talker Honor Run

Honoring the legendary Navajo Code Talkers! Thursday, August 14, 2025 - National Code Talker Day

Welcome to the Navajo Code Talker Honor Run!

REGISTRATION – Online registration is open through the morning of Thursday, August 14 at the NavajoYES website: http://www.navajoyes.org. Your fee includes a performance t-shirt, sports towel, sticker, post-race snacks, and your choice of posters from the Navajo Code Talker Poster Series.

LOCATION – The Navajo Nation Museum and Navajo Zoo are located in Window Rock, Arizona, just off Hwy 264. Ample parking is available at the Museum.

PACKET PICK-UP – Available on the 14th at the start/finish line.

COURSE – The main course is a 2-mile run up the Code Talker Trail from the Museum parking area to the viewpoint of Window Rock Arch. The course wraps around the Museum and finishes near the Zoo. The course is subject to slight variation.

AID STATIONS – Pre-race breakfast bars and bananas, along with fluids and gels at the start line. Post-race snacks and drinks will also be provided. This is a cupless event, so runners should bring their own hydration system.

WEATHER – September weather in Window Rock can be variable, so check the forecast before the race. Thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon.

LODGING – Available at Quality Inn in Window Rock and Navajoland Inn in St. Michael’s. Options are also available in Gallup, New Mexico.

This is a non-competitive event. There are no awards or prizes.
