Location: Shonto Marketplace Trailhead, Shonto, AZ 86054

Welcome to the inaugural Last Man Standing Race! This event challenges participants to complete 4-mile segments within one hour. Runners who successfully complete each segment can start the next one on the hour. The event continues until only one runner remains, with a maximum of 25 laps totaling 100 miles.

Start Time: 7:00 a.m. MDT (Daylight Savings Time)

Registration: Online registration is open through www.navajoyes.org until one hour before race time. Hardship and local/native runner discounts are available upon request.

Included with Registration: On-course support (food, drink, medical, portajohns), event shirt, Rail-to-Trail poster, decal, and neck gaiter. All proceeds benefit community health and wellness programs on the Navajo Nation.

Course: The race is run on the Rail-Trail Route, a primarily dirt path with some sandy sections and a short rocky area near the turnaround. Runners will alternate running east and west of the Start/Finish area, completing a 2+ mile route in each direction per segment.

Aid Station: A major aid station at the Start/Finish area will provide hydration, medical support, and various nutrition options including energy gels, waffles, salty snacks, fruit, sandwiches, and broth.

Packet Pick-up: Starts at 6:00 a.m. at the start line. This is a cup-less event; bring your own hydration.

Awards: Overall awards for the last man and final woman finishers.

Weather: Average high temperatures in March are in the mid to high 50s, with lows in the low 30s. High desert weather is variable, with potential for wind, rain, or snow.
