About the Event
Race Info
The New Beginnings Turkey Trot 5k is scheduled for Thanksgiving Day morning, Thursday, November 27, 2025. All proceeds benefit the New Beginnings Resale Shoppe.
Start Times: 5K runners begin at 8:30 AM sharp, followed by 5K walkers. Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in age groups 12 and under, and over 12. The first runner to finish will be crowned “Top Turkey”.
Course: The course starts at the Sheridan Community Center, heads East out of town to Beardsley Road, with a measured turnaround to complete the 5K, and ends back at the Community Center.
Pricing & Registration
Entry Fee: Ages 1-12: $5.00. Ages 13 and older: $20.00 before Thanksgiving Day. Registration fee on race day increases to $25.00.
Registration: You can register online or in person at New Beginnings, 221 S Main St, Sheridan, MI 48884, prior to November 28, 2024. Registration ends November 26, 2025, at 11:59 PM EST.
Note: There are no T-shirts this year, but there will be special giveaways and door prizes.
