Newry City Half Marathon 2025

Event Details

The 2025 Newry City Half Marathon and 10k will both take place on Sunday 25th May. The Half will start at 10am and the 10k at 10:30am. Race numbers will be capped at 1000 for the Half and 600 for the 10k and both events are expected to sell out well in advance.

Course Description

The 13.1-mile course takes a scenic route starting at the historic Newry Quay outside The Quays Shopping Centre, before heading down to Warrenpoint and the historic Narrow Water Castle on a scenic canal carriageway. Designed to be fast and flat, it offers great potential for personal best times.

Pacers and Support

Pacers will be available for the Half Marathon from sub 1:30 to 2:30 hour groups. The 10k will also have pacers for sub 40 mins to sub 60 mins. Good viewing locations for spectators are available at the start and finish lines.

Medals and T-Shirts

All competitors who complete the race will receive a commemorative medal and a free race T-Shirt. Guaranteed sizes will be available only until 1st April 2024.

Entry Fees

Half Marathon: £40, with an early bird entry of £38 until 31/03/2024. 10k: £27, early bird entry £25 until 31/03/2024.

Parking

Ample parking is available around the event, including free parking at various locations.

Medical Assistance

Medical Assistance and First Aid will be present at the course and end of the race.

Prize Giving

Prize giving will take place as soon as the first 3 runners male and female in each race cross the finish line. Maximum one prize per individual.
