Event Details
Location: Kincaid Park, 9401 Raspberry Rd, Anchorage, AK 99502
Date: Sunday, September 28 - Sunday, October 5, 2025
This is a fun event for kids, families & competitive athletes to celebrate the life of Nic Nelson, a passionate youth triathlete who passed away from cancer in 2019.
Course and Start Times:
- Duathlon - Ages 13 through Adults: 9:30 AM - Includes a 1.5 mile run, 10 mile bike, 1.5 mile run.
- Duathlon - Ages 4-8 years: 11:00 AM - Includes a 0.35 mile run, 2.5 mile bike, 0.35 mile run.
- Duathlon - Ages 9-12 years: 11:30 AM - Includes a 0.7 mile run, 5 mile bike, 0.7 mile run.
- 5K Timed Run: 12:00 PM - A trail run on Mize Loop area.
- 5K Untimed Run: 12:00 PM - Also part of the trail run.
- Kids 2K Fun Run: 1:00 PM - An untimed trail run.
Virtual Option:
The virtual 5K can be completed anytime from September 28th at 12:01 AM to October 5th at 11:59 PM.
All race proceeds will benefit the NicStrong Foundation, providing financial support for youth sports.
