Night Claw

Event Details

The Night Claw is a nighttime trail race through Dinosaur Valley State Park. You can choose from the 5K, 10K, 4-hour, 6-hour, or 8-hour timed races. This event also features an exciting optional challenge, the Claw Challenge, where participants are pursued on the trails. Escape with your tear tag intact to earn the title of 'ESCAPED'; if you get caught, you’ll be marked as 'CLAWED.'

Claw Challenge Overview

In this thrilling challenge, a designated volunteer runs dressed as the Claw, chasing participants to collect their tags:

• Get a unique bib with a tear tag
• Finish your distance while avoiding getting caught
• Medals will be awarded to those who "Beat The Claw" and those who were "Clawed"

Course Details

The trail is primarily dirt and rocky single-track, with river crossings. The 10K loop features an elevation gain of 650ft. Runners must finish their final loop by 3AM, the cutoff time.

Location and Times

The event will take place at the field outside Dinosaur Valley State Park:

• 6:00 - 8:00 PM: Early Packet Pickup
• 7:00 PM: 8-Hour Start
• 7:30 PM: 4 & 6-Hour Start
• 8:00 PM: 5K/10K Starts
• 8:05 PM: The Claw Is Released
• 3:00 AM: Cutoff Time
