Ovarian Cancer 5K

This event will benefit ovarian cancer research through the Mucinous Ovarian Cancer Coalition. We are excited to offer a yearly event to raise funds and awareness about ovarian cancer. There is no screening method to detect ovarian cancer. The signs and symptoms of the disease are often vague. Some of the signs/symptoms include bloating, feeling full quickly, abdominal or pelvic pain, and urinary frequency. All women with ovaries are at risk for this disease. Sign up and run or walk this race for all the important women in your life and help contribute to ovarian cancer research!

Events

• 5K: $35 ($25 for ages 5-18) - Starts at 10:30AM EDT. Price increases after June 14, 2025.
• Virtual 5K: $30 - Registration ends September 27, 2025.

Location: Pitt Street Brewing Company On the Pamlico, 307 W. Main Street, Washington, NC 27889

Registration Fees:

• In-Person: $35 (until June 14th), $40 (June 15th-August 14th), $45 (August 15th-September 27th)
• Virtual: $30

Runners in the 5K receive a t-shirt (guaranteed if ordered by August 15th). Trucker hats and tank tops are also available. Medals and t-shirts are not guaranteed for registrations between August 15th and September 27th. NO REFUNDS.

Start Times (5K):

• Registration/Check-in: 9-10 AM
• Race Start: 10:30 AM

Water will be provided along the race and at the end.

Packet Pickup:

• Friday, September 26th: 6-8 PM
• Saturday, September 27th: 9-10 AM

Awards: Top 3 Male & Female Overall Finishers, Top 3 in 12 & under and 13-16 year old categories. Awards presented at 11:30 AM. ALL 5K finishers receive a medal.

Post-Run Party: 11:00 AM-1:30 PM. Participants 21+ receive one beer ticket. Food trucks will be available.

This race is open to walkers and running strollers (strollers must start behind runners and walkers). NO pets (except service dogs), bikes, or skateboards allowed.
